In psychology, projection is a defense mechanism in which an individual attributes their own unacceptable thoughts, feelings, or behaviors to another person or group. This allows them to avoid confronting their own internal conflicts and maintain a positive self-image. It is usually unconscious and the felon does this constantly.
Examples of Projection:

Key Characteristics of Projection:
- Projection typically occurs unconsciously, without the individual's awareness.Projected traits are usually negative or undesirable, such as aggression, jealousy, or insecurity.The projected traits are displaced from the individual onto another person or group.Projection allows the individual to avoid taking responsibility for their own flaws or shortcomings.

Vindictive prosecutions:
In early October 2025, Attorney General Pam Bondi, at Trump's urging via a public social media post, began to prosecute several of Trump's political critics and opponents, including former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James and former advisor John Bolton. The indictments raised massive concerns that Trump was using his control over the Justice Department for political retaliation.The cases are so weak that career lawyers refused to advance some of the cases.
Several excellent lawyers were fired/terminated because they actually believe in the law and the constitution.
- Dismissal of U.S. Attorney: In September 2025, Trump fired U.S. Attorney Erik Siebert of the Eastern District of Virginia, who had declined to file charges against New York Attorney General Letitia James following an investigation. This move drew criticism from many, who saw it as another example of Trump using the DOJ for political motives.
- Other fired lawyers include Maureen Comey, and many other great LAWYERS.

Trump has been attacking his critics and prosecutors (James) for years. Attacks on Attorney General James are among his most viscous, racist and violent -except for his attacks on other women of color or non-christian faith.

Attorney General James successfully prosecuted and convicted Trump family of fraud on New York. A Judge found them guilty in Feb 2024. A fine has swelled to over half a billion dollars, the estimated defrauded value of the injury to taxpayers in New York. The guilt is upheld but the large value of the fine is on appeal.

In the civil fraud case brought by James, Trump was found liable of falsifying records to secure better loan deals, leading to a $500m (£375m) fine. The [size of penalty] was thrown out by an appeals court, which called the fine excessive, though it upheld that Trump was liable for fraud.
During the case, Trump frequently attacked James outside of the courtroom, accusing her of carrying out a "political witch hunt" against him. James said the courts had ruled that Trump was "not above the law".
James on Thursday said she stands behind her office's litigation against Trump and his organization.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, said James's indictment "is nothing less than the weaponization of the Justice Department to punish those who hold the powerful accountable."
The New York Civil Liberties Union and American Civil Liberties Union called it "the latest in a long list of brazen abuses of power by President Trump".
