No, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) cannot legally detain U.S. citizens. 

Union Leader David Huerta was injured and arrested by ICE anyway.  Hopefully he is suing.

However, they can detain individuals if there is reasonable suspicion they are not a U.S. citizen and are subject to immigration enforcement. If detained, citizens should immediately state their citizenship and request to speak with an attorney. 

WHY ARE ICE ABLE TO DETAIN, ARREST, and assault US CITIZENS?

Our digital data is BEING illegally sucked up into artificial intelligence programs like palantir and other AI programs.  WHY?  The REAL REASON IS in order to surveille us and to control the critics, the press, the elite, the democrats, everyone who is not white, the women, federal employees, and immigrants.  THIS IS DANGEROUS AND SCARY STUFF. Increase for ICE detention is 45 billion dollars.  That is 5 times the annual budget of ENTIRE federal prison system (8.3 billion $).  This White House is building a police state like the one in his favorite country-Russia.

5b.  Please open an investigation into the danger of AI and the transfer of our private digital data from federal databases into DOGE hands, into Tech Bro hands, into possibly even Russian hands thanks to the very cozy relationships between the president and Putin, Musk and Putin, many in the cabinet and Putin.

6. There is no waste fraud and abuse being rooted out and ended.  If that was the goal the pentagon would have been job one. If that was the actual goal, the inspectors general would have been asked to help, to expand their independent oversight.  The only reason to terminate the inspectors general is IF THIS WHITE HOUSE AND CONGRESS PLAN TO ENGAGE IS ILLEGAL ACTIVITY WITHOUT BEING DETECTED.
