From the Democratic hearing on ICE violence, Feb 3, 2026.
We read but could not confirm that DHS expects 80% of agents to resign if their faces are exposed. This insight shows that the immunity provided by masks is a large reason for the constant cruelty, criminal behavior and violence of those agents.

DHS plans to treat people like packages in warehouses.
Ultra-right wing judges ok illegal actions of federal government. APPEAL is needed. "U.S. judges overwhelmingly rejected the new policy; Vladeck quoted Politico’s Kyle Cheney, who reported that in more than 700 cases, at least 225 judges appointed by all modern presidents—including 23 appointed by Trump—have ruled that the new policy likely violates both the law and the right to due process."
The lack of medical care is deliberate. "According to Legum, ICE said it could not provide “dialysis, prenatal care, oncology, [and] chemotherapy.” ICE officials described the loss of care as an “absolute emergency” that needed an immediate solution to “prevent any further medical complications or loss of life.” But it did not get solved."
Minneapolis is no safer or calmer since Pretti execution.
"Even with the so-called “drawdown,” many Minneapolis-area activists say little has changed and they’re preparing for prolonged resistance. Reports of federal officers near schools and homes continue to circulate on chat groups and social media, keeping many immigrant families in their homes."
Citizens step up and keep standing up to protect their neighbors from the invasion of the federal government.
Families in hiding and defiant observers: This is Minneapolis in the wake of the so-called ICE ‘drawdown’

In recent months, Minnesota has been the epicenter of escalating federal immigration enforcement efforts. In December 2025, the Administration deployed thousands of ICE, CBP, and other DHS agents into the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul). Agents have been carrying out stops, detentions, and arrests, and using physical force against civilians, including peaceful protestors, sometimes fatally. To date, agents have shot and killed two Minnesota citizens on the street.
In 2025, at least 32 people died in ICE custody, and as of January 27, at least nine people died in ICE custody or at the hands of federal agents.
This violence has triggered national fear, grief, and outrage. It has driven tens of thousands of people in Minnesota and beyond to organize mass mobilizations like protests, vigils, walkouts, boycotts, and community support efforts. Yet even at largely peaceful response demonstrations, civilians have often been met with escalating federal presence and activities. The Administration has also threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act in Minnesota to deploy federal military members to the state.
What’s happening in Minnesota is a model of what other states could experience as the Administration continues expanding its federal enforcement operations. At the same time, the growing public resistance is also a model of how people can unite and fight back.
- Continued Presence & Fear: Even with a partial withdrawal, hundreds of federal agents remain in the Twin Cities area, exceeding the size of the local police force. Reports of surveillance near homes and schools continue, keeping many families inside.
- Increased Danger & Casualties: Two fatal shootings of US citizens by federal agents occurred in January, heightening community terror.
- Defiant Resistance: Residents are acting as "eyes and ears," using cars and whistles to alert neighbors of federal presence. Training sessions for legal observers are well-attended, focusing on documenting actions and providing aid.
- Impact on Families: Stories include an 11-year-old girl in hiding after her mother was arrested, and a couple detained while on their way to the emergency room.
- Community Support Systems: Schools have turned into food pantries, and volunteers are shuttling people to work, KOAM News Now reports.
- Trauma Re-lived: Immigrant families, including those from Venezuela, describe the actions as echoing the paramilitary terror they fled in their home countries.
DHS treat people like packages in warehouses.
